Any longtime Charles Wysocki fan can tell you all about "Chuck" - his deep sense of patriotism, his devotion to his family and his dedication to his craft. His warm personality and enthusiasm, combined with his ability to translate his humor and love onto canvas have attracted a large and loyal following. Wysocki is one of the most beloved artists in America today and a cornerstone in the limited edition print market.

Chuck was born in a Polish community in Detroit. After serving his country in the Army, he studied at the Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles and then spent time working as a commercial illustrator in his native Detroit. He eventually returned to California where he married Elizabeth Lawrence.

Raised in the city, Chuck fell in love with the simplicity and warmth that he observed on his wife's family farm. This old-fashioned way of life became his artistic vision. "I paint America as I imagine it was in the innocent early days, filled with the charm of hand-made things and a love for old-fashioned values," says Wysocki.

The recipient of more than 50 awards, Chuck's career highlights include a show at the Richard Nixon Library (for which he was commissioned to paint the former president's boyhood home) and his induction in the U.S. Art Magazine Hall of Fame, which recognized him as one of the most influential artists in the limited edition print field.

For more than 25 years, Charles Wysocki has designed and painted the best selling Americana Calendar. This collection represents his wide range of subjects, each with the classic "Wysocki" touch.

The universal appeal of his work has led to a flourishing licensing program through Mosaic Licensing. Wysocki's images are reproduced on a wide range of successful licensed products, from stationery and home furnishings to gifts and collectibles.

Healthy, happy and actively painting year-round, Wysocki and his wife, Liz, enjoy a peaceful life in California. They are especially proud of their two sons, David and Matt, and their daughter, Millie. The Wysocki's continue to enjoy the simple pleasures of family life with the recent addition of a baby granddaughter, Emily.
